Umuekwule Afugiri in Ohuhu Clan of Umuahia North Local Government in Abia State Nigeria is a community made up of four village squares called [Umuyo-Okpuala, Umunkitaocha - recently changed their name to Umuchukwu), Umualewe and Umuoshi] out of the eleven village squares that make up Afugiri community. The other village squares are namely: Umuegwu-Okpuala, Umuegwu-Umuduru, Umuegwu-Umuagu Ngolori, Umuosu, Umunemeze, Umuokoroala and Umuakam. In summary Afugiri has seven villages not eleven as indicated in recent times. The seven villages are: 1. Umuekwule - four village squares (Umuyo-Okpuala, Umuchukwu, Umualewe and Umuoshi) 2. Umuegwu Okpuala - two village squares (Umuegwu-Okpuala and Umuegwu-Umuduru) 3. Umuegwu Umuagu Ngolori 4. Umuosu 5. Umunemeze 6. Umuokoroala and 7. Umuakam
