Tricentis is a software company founded in 2007 and headquartered in Vienna, Austria. It provides software testing and software quality assurance solutions.[1] It was positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the 2014 and 2015 Magic Quadrant for Software Test Automation report.[2][3]

In 2015 Forrester Research named Tricentis a “Strong Performer” in Functional Automation Tools while the CIO Review called Tricentis one of the “20 Most Promising DevOps Solutions Providers of 2015”.[4] The company has offices located in Hamburg; Zurich, London, Sydney, New Jersey and Los Altos.[5]

History

Tricentis was founded in 2007 by Wolfgang Platz and Franz Fuchsberger as a software testing solution company. In 2007 the company extended its market focus and converted into a software and consulting company.[6] The same year, it opened an office in Germany. Tricentis opened further offices in Switzerland in 2008, Benelux in 2009, and London and Sydney in 2010. In 2011, the company entered the US markets and opened offices in New Jersey and Los Altos.[7]

In 2000, Platz developed Tosca Explorer, the predecessor to the core component of Tosca Testsuite. By 2006 Tosca Commander was developed and launched into the market as the central GUI for the test suite.[8][9]

Services

Tricentis provides international services to several industries including the financial, commerce, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, logistics and transports, utilities, and software industries.[10] In addition, it provides training and consulting services in the areas of software quality assurance. These services include several tests related to planning, case evaluation and specification, automation and management.[11]

Its main products is the Tosca Testsuite,[12] a test management and automation tool suite.[13]
