Andi Mutiara Pertiwi Basro, or called known as Tara Basro (born June 11, 1990) is an Indonesian actress and model. Basro began her widely popularity by the public when played her debut in 2011 sequel film, titled Catatan (Harian) Si Boy.
Career
Basro began her debut career as model to finalist contestant in magazine GADIS Sampul. In addition, Basro had want to began her career as movie acted; however admitted that to many difficulties, due to must graduated for her education college in Australia. When back to her home country, Basro has joining to various casting and not successful; but another reality when she reached a chance to join the cast for 2011 drama-themed film Catatan (Harian) Si Boy and has indirectly popular in her acting.
After that, Basro has starring her second movie in omnibus with horror-themed Hi5teria in 2012, which she has appeared for segment "Pasar Setan" (Satan's Market). Basro has played many films in various genre, such as epic-themed film Pendekar Tongkat Emas (2014), thriller-themed with collaboration for Japan-Indonesia Killers (2014) and drama romantic-themed with English language The Right One (2014).
In addition, Basro also appeared in several television program, such as The East and Bukan Sekedar Wayang, both of in NET.. Basro has starring in internationally television series which created by HBO Asia channel Halfworlds, which only appeared in season 1,[1] and she also selected to hosting for Asian reality game show in season 5 of The Amazing Race Asia with Allan Wu, an Singaporean actor and host.[2]
For her film A Copy of My Mind, Basro subsequently awarded as 2015 Citra Award for Best Leading Actress at Indonesian Film Festival.[3]
