Sumon Samasarn

Sumon Samasarn (Thai: สุมน สมสาร, pronounced [sù.mōn sa.ma.sǎːn], born 16 April 1927) is a Thai teacher and an influential contributor to the Scouting movement in Thailand. She worked as a career civil servant under the Ministry of Education until her retirement, was a member of the 1989 Senate and 1991 National Legislative Assembly, and served as the National Training Commissioner of the National Scout Organization of Thailand.

In 1997, Sumon was awarded the 261st Bronze Wolf, the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting.[1]
