Suchitra Mohanlal (born Suchitra Balaji) is an Indian film producer and businesswoman. She is the wife of Indian actor Mohanlal and daughter of producer K. Balaji.

Personal life

Suchitra Mohanlal was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She is the daughter of Tamil film producer K. Balaji and Anandavalli. Her family, originally hails from Palakkad, Kerala was settled in Tamil Nadu. She has two siblings Sujatha and Suresh Balaje. She got married to actor Mohanlal on 28 April 1988 at Attukal Bhagavathy Temple, Kerala.[1][2][3] She lives with her family at Thevara, Kochi in Kerala.[4] She has two children Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya Mohanlal. Pranav has acted in few films and has worked as an assistant director.[5][6][7]

Career

She is the co-owner of Pranavam Arts International, a production company founded by her husband and actor Mohanlal. Although, Mohanlal's name is credited as the producer for almost all their productions, except twoKanmadam and Harikrishnans in 1998.[8][9]
