History

St. James` School, Binnaguri was founded by the Congregation of The Brothers of St. Patrick (Patrician Brothers) in 1973. It is registered as The Educational Society of St. James` School, and this institution is managed by the Brothers and assisted by the Sisters of Notre Dame Academy, Patna [1]

Campus

The campus is located beside the Army Cantonment in Binnaguri. St. Patrick's School, Binnaguri and NIOS/IGNOU are located adjacently. The expansive campus, including large sports grounds, basketball courts, auditorium and a greenery filled atmosphere are a rarity among schools in the region. It also has two modern computer labs.

Extra Curriculars

The students of the school are nicknamed "Jamesonians", and a school magazine by the name "The Jamesonian" is also published. The students are divided into four groups -"Houses"- Gandhi(Green), Naidu(Red), Shastri(Yellow) and Tagore(Blue), who compete against each other in various fields, including sports, dance, drama, etc. To ensure an all round development, extra-curricular activities form a major part of the school year.
