Spoonville site

The Spoonville site is a historic archeological site, located on the banks of the Grand River in Crockery Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, United States. Where Crockery Creek dumps into the Grand River, is the site of ancient Indian burial grounds, and the site of a late-1800s lumber town. The latter was established in 1871, as a station on the Chicago and Michigan Lake Shore Railroad. The village was called Spoonville, and comprised a sawmill, company store, saloon, blacksmith, and a ship building yard.[1][2]
