Sauniere was a freighter operated by Algoma Central.[1] She was a self-unloading bulk carrier built in 1970.

In December 1985 unionized longshoremen in Providence Rhode Island picketed Sauniere because she unloaded rock salt without union help.[2][3]

She was laid up in 2009, and scrapped in 2010.[1]
