The North Carolina Rugged Maniac 5K Obstacle Course event has been held annually in Rockingham, North Carolina since 2011. The event currently takes place at the Rockingham Speedway.[1]

History

North Carolinian native, Rob Dickens, is the co-owner and chief operating officer of Rugged Maniac. He runs the North Carolina event every year with his hometown friends and family.[2]

2016

Rugged Maniac North Carolina 2016 was held at the Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina. This event drew over 6,000 participants to the first event in May. The second event will be held in October.[3] The event featured 28 obstacles over a length of 5 kilometers. The festival area hosted activities such as dance parties, mechanical bulls, bounce houses and exhibition booths.[4]
