Rocky Mountain Synod
The Rocky Mountain Synod is one of 65 synods in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The synod comprises 176 churches of the ELCA in the following states; Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, Wyoming. It is the largest synod, geographically, in the lower 48 states. Rev. Allan C. Bjornberg has served the Rocky Mountain Synod as its bishop since 1993. The synod is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
