Robert Rabiah is an AFI / AACTA Academy Award nominated Australian film actor and Australian Writers' Guild winner [1] best known for his roles as Hakim in Face to Face, Nick in Chopper, Dario Mancini in Fat Tony & Co., Spiro Politis on popular TV soap Neighbours, Mehmet in Deadline Gallipoli and Mohsen in Ali's Wedding.

Early life

Robert Rabiah grew up across the road from a cinema, which inspired his passion for the arts. In 2005 he established Sunrise Films.

Career

Robert Rabiah has appeared in some of Australia's best loved Films and Television shows. His first major acting role was in the Andrew Dominik directed film, Chopper, alongside Eric Bana and Vince Colosimo. Other seminal works include, Michael Rymer's Face To Face and Deadline Gallipoli with Sam Worthington.

Awards

Robert Rabiah was nominated for Best Actor at the 2011 Inside Film Awards,[2] in Sydney in the same category as Geoffrey Rush and David Wenham and in 2012 was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the AACTA Awards[3] in the same category as Hugo Weaving and Sam Neill.

Robert Rabiah has also won the Australian Writers Guild Award (Monte Miller) and Best Actor In An Ensemble Cast (Monaco Charity Film Festival) [4] and the National Literary Award (Best Feature Screenplay) [5]
