Tekuté písky (Quicksands) is a folk album by Karel Kryl, issued in Czechoslovakia by company Bonton in 1990.[1][2][3]
Songs for the album were selected by Jiří Černý, who previously worked with Kryl on his most successful album Close the Gate, Little Brother (1969).[3] The album was recorded in the studio of Martin Kratochvíl.[4]
Lyrics of the opening song Quicksands is adaptation of poem Wedding Song by Jaroslav Seifert.[5] Lyrics of the closing song Velvet Spring is Kryl's reflection on the Velvet Revolution.[1]

Trivia
- In 1993 songs Quicksands and Velvet Spring were included in compilation The Best (To nejlepší). "The best is yet to come!", protested Kryl against the title chosen for the album in an interview for the Czech edition of Playboy.[6]
