The systematic name of this enzyme class is geranylgeranyl-diphosphate:protein-cysteine geranyltransferase. Other names in common use include GGTaseII, Rab geranylgeranyltransferase, RabGGTase, geranylgeranyl-diphosphate,geranylgeranyl-diphosphate:protein-, and cysteine geranyltransferase.
