Pechersk School International (PSI) provides education for children from the ages of two and a half to eighteen years in Kiev, Ukraine. It consists of two buildings, a few mobile buildings, and a gymnasium tent.

History

The school was established in 1996 by parents keen to improve the quality of education for their children, and is the only school in Ukraine to be accredited in three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes.[1] These include the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). The IB diploma is recognised by more than 2337 universities in over 74 countries.[2]

Traditions

PSI follows several traditions. New Family Orientation and an International Evening highlight the degree of international diversity of the school. The students take part in a sports day towards the end of each academic year, have a Winter and Spring concert every year, organized by the Music Department. The PSI Panthers take part in basketball, football, softball, cricket and various other sports.

Extra-Curricular activities

Students at PSI are required to do any after-school activities. These include sports, computer clubs, art clubs, a Band, Photography Club, Chess, and many others.
