Passage de Venus

Passage de Venus is a series of photographs of the transit of the planet Venus across the Sun in 1874. They were taken in Japan by the French astronomer Pierre Janssen using his 'photographic revolver'.[1][2]

It is the oldest film in the Internet Movie Database.
