Noble Consort Xun

Noble Consort Xun (died 1797) was a consort of the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing dynasty.

Life

Noble Consort Xun was born in the Manchu Irgen-Gioro clan, which was under the Bordered Blue Banner. Her personal name is unknown. Her father was Guilin (桂林), who served as a zongdu (總督) under the Qing government.

Around 1764, Lady Irgen-Gioro entered the Forbidden City after she was selected to join the Qianlong Emperor's imperial harem. She was given the rank of Imperial Concubine under the title "Imperial Concubine Xun" (循嬪). In 1794, she was promoted to "Consort Xun" (循妃).

Lady Irgen-Gioro died in 1797 during the reign of the Jiaqing Emperor, the Qianlong Emperor's 15th son and successor. The Jiaqing Emperor posthumously promoted her to "Noble Consort Xun" and arranged for her a funeral befitting that of a Noble Consort.
