NNIT A/S is an ISO 9001 certified[1] international IT service provider. NNIT is one of the three largest providers of ITservices in Denmark and operates within the following focus areas: IT consultancy, and the development, implementation and outsourcing of IT services for life sciences, finance, public and other industries.

History

The company was founded as Novo Nordisk IT in 1994 through the demerger of Novo Nordisk's two existing information technology units. The company was converted into a wholly owned aktieselskab in 2004[2] In March 2015, NNIT was floated on the NASDAQ OMX Nordic.

Activities

NNIT employs more than 2,500 employees and in 2014 the revenue was DKK 2,410 million. NNIT is headquartered[3] page 17 in Soeborg, Denmark with sales offices in: Zurich (Switzerland) and Princeton (United States). NNIT’s primary offshore delivery center is in Tianjin (China) from which the company also target sales to companies in the Chinese life sciences industry. In addition, NNIT operate delivery centers in Manila (the Philippines) and Prague and Olomouc (the Czech Republic.)

Many of NNIT’s customers operate in the life sciences sector (including NNIT’ major customer, the Novo Nordisk Group, a world leading life sciences group, which comprises Novo Nordisk A/S and subsidiaries) [3] page 17, but NNIT also provide services to customers in the public, enterprise and finance sectors amongst these DSB, Arla Foods and PFA. NNIT’s strategic objectives by 2020 include becoming Denmark’s preferred IT outsourcing partner and a leading international IT partner dedicated to life sciences.[3] page 23
