Mtatsminda Park

Mtatsminda Park is a family amusement facility located atop Mount Mtatsminda overlooking the Georgian capital Tbilisi. It offers carrousels, water slides, a roller-coaster, and a big Ferris Wheel at the edge of the mountain, offering a splendid view over the city.

Ownership and management

Mtatsminda Park is owned by the Municipality of Tbilisi.[1] Until 2007, it was managed under a lease contract by a company owned by Badri Patarkatsishvili, when it was forced to cease operations. In July 2008, Rakeen Development Georgia LLC, a subsidiary of Rakeen Development based in the United Arab Emirates, confirmed that it had been tasked by the municipality with the management for a 49-year term.[2] The family of Patarkatsishvili who had disputed the decisions of the municipality confirmed in July 2011 that a compromise deal had been reached.[3]
