In Aug, 2005 Trent acquired a 76% controlling stake in Landmark,[1] a Chennai-based privately owned books and music retailer and completed 100% acquisition in April 2008.[2] Started as an independent bookstore, Landmark Limited became a Chain store which primarily offers books, music, movie VCD/DVD’s, video game console, pc games, video games, console games, Video game accessory, toys, magazines, as well as technology products like mobile phone, smartphone, tablet computer, mobile phone accessory, camera, and camera accessory, laptop, stationery items, gift items and home products.

Landmarkonthenet.com, launched in 2000 and a Chennai-based Ecommerce portal owned and operated by Landmark Limited is an online retailing division of Landmark through which it is selling its retail merchandise online. Currently Landmarkonthenet.com offers selective merchandise to be shopped online for the Indian consumers such as books, eBooks, music, movie VCD/DVD’s, video game console, pc games, video games, console games, Video game accessory, toys, mobile phone, smartphone, tablet computer, mobile phone accessory, camera, and camera accessory and gift certificates.

Landmark Quiz

Landmark quiz, one of the oldest Open quizzes in India is an annual quiz contest mostly conducted on National Holidays was instituted in 1989 by Landmark. Since then, the event is held in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Hyderabad on various dates.
