Kirk Humphreys (ice hockey player)
Kirk Humphreys is a retired ice hockey forward,[1] who is now the Chief Operating Officer of the Guildford Flames.
Career
Kirk Humphreys played with the Augustana Vikings of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference for the 1991-1992 and 1992-1993 seasons. He received the team’s Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year awards.[2] Humphreys played three seasons for the University of Alberta Golden Bears between 1993 and 1996. He then played 3 seasons of professional hockey. Between 1996 and 1997 he played in Germany with the League South Ravensburg Towerstars and League North with EHC Salzgitter. Between 1997 and 1999 he played in the British National League for the Guildford Flames.[3][4] Afterwards he became a senior advisor to the team,[5] and is now the Chief Operating Officer of the Flames—which play in the English Premier Ice Hockey League.[6]
