Joe Thein (born July 17, 1991 in Esch-sur-Alzette) is a Luxembourgish politician, councillor of Pétange and flight attendant.[1] Since March 16, 2015 he's the current chairman of the ADR-youth organization adrenalin, déi jonk adr.[2] He is living in Lamadelaine in the commune of Pétange. He supports the philosophy of conservatism by Edmund Burke.

Political career

At the age of 16, he entered politics by joining the ADR on July 14, 2008. He joined the youth-organization adrenalin, déi jonk adr in 2009 as well and became an active politician.
After five years of vice-presidency, he got elected on March 16, 2015 in Luxembourg City as chairman of the youth organization.[2][3] In the local elections held on October 9, 2011 he ran at the age of 20 for a seat in the council of Pétange obtaining 403 voices (230 list voices) and got elected, enabling the party's first seat in the municipality.[4][5] In the Luxembourg General election held on October 20, 2013 he ran for a seat in the Chamber of Deputies for the south, obtaining 5234 voices (3828 list voices) placing him fourth on the list.[6]

Furthermore, he is the vice-president of the ADR South region and local section of Pétange, as well as member of the executive and national committee of the party. He is one of the delegates representing adrenalin at the European Young Conservatives (EYC).
