Hyon Hak-bong

This is a Korean name; the family name is Hyon.

Hyon Hak-bong (Korean: 현학봉) is North Korea's ambassador in London.[1][2] He is based at the Embassy of North Korea, London. In 2016, he was interviewed about North Korea's nuclear weapons policy.[3] He is married; his spouse is Choe Jin Ok.[2] He is reported to have been an ally of the late Jang Song-thaek.[4]

As of 25 August 2016, Hyon is reported to have been recalled to North Korea following the defection of the former deputy ambassador Thae Yong-ho.[4][5]
