Holness aka Houness (first name and dates unknown) was an English first-class cricketer who was active in the 1770s and 1780s. He played for Kent and was recorded twice, first for a Kent XI against Maidstone in a minor match in July 1777[1] and then in a first-class match for East Kent v West Kent in June 1781.[2][3]

As Holness had established his reputation by 1777, he must have been active for some years previously. Very few players were mentioned by name in contemporary reports and there are no other references to Holness.
