Gounaropoulos Museum

Coordinates: 37°58′30″N 23°45′41.5″E / 37.97500°N 23.761528°E / 37.97500; 23.761528 Gounaropoulos Museum is a museum located in Athens, Greece. It was founded in 1979 and belongs to the municipality of Zografou. The museum aims to present and promote the work of the painter Giorgos Gounaropoulos (1889-1977). The museum is housed in the artists’ home and atelier, and contains 40 oil paintings and drawings, the artists’ personal belongings and archive. The museum offers guided tours and educational programs, and hosts a variety of art exhibitions, lectures and other cultural events.
