The Gloucestershire Echo is a daily paper produced by Gloucestershire Media, part of Local World. It was founded in 1873.

The newspaper is based in St James' House in the centre of Cheltenham.[1] It covers Cheltenham, Bishops Cleeve, Tewkesbury, Cirencester and the Cotswolds up to the Gloucestershire border.

The editor is Matt Holmes, who has been in position since January 2015.[2][3]

In 2012, Local World acquired owner Northcliffe Media from Daily Mail and General Trust.[4]
