Daniel A. Wehrschmidt

Daniel Albert Wehrschmidt (1861-1932) was an American artist from Ohio who made a career for himself in England as a portrait painter, lithographer and engraver.[1]

Wehrschmidt exhibited ten paintings at the Royal Academy, London, between 1886 and 1893. His 1905 portrait of Robert Falcon Scott was accepted by the British government in lieu of tax in 2012 and allocated to the National Portrait Gallery, London.[2]
