Balsamud is a village in Rajpur Tehsil of Barwani district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Balsamud is popular for Integrated Border Check Post[1] at Agra Mumbai Highway run by Government of Madhya Pradesh. It came into light when entire bus was torched & 10 passengers were burnt alive near that checkpost.[2][3]

Geography

Balsamud is located in the Narmada Valley, at 21°49′N 75°11′E / 21.82°N 75.18°E / 21.82; 75.18. It has an average elevation of 306 metres (1007 feet).[4] Balsamud lies 45 km from District headquarters.
