Ang Probinsyano is 1997 Philippine action film by Fernando Poe, Jr. who plays a double role as his twin brother. The film became a box office hit and had a sequel released in 1998 entitled Ang Pagbabalik ng Probinsyano which was still topbilled by Poe.

The film was remade as a TV series, with Coco Martin starring the leading role.[1][2]

Synopsis

A police officer, Senior Inspector Ador de Leon (played by Poe), was killed in a drug bust operation after he was betrayed by his fellow police officer. His superior devises a plan for his twin brother, Kardo (also played by Poe), a provincial cop, to assume his identity so they can fool and capture the drug syndicate and the corrupt policemen responsible for his death.
