Alison Emily Thewliss (born 13 September 1982)[1] is a Scottish National Party (SNP) politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow Central since May 2015.[2][3]

Before this, she was a Glasgow City councilor for the Calton ward, first elected in 2007.

Thewliss is married to a software developer. They had a son in 2010[4] and a daughter in 2013.[5]
