1178 Irmela

1178 Irmela is a main-belt asteroid that was discovered by Max Wolf on March 13, 1931, and given a provisional designation of 1931 EC. It was named after Irmela Ruska, wife of Ernst Ruska.[1]

10µ radiometric data collected from Kitt Peak in 1975 gave a diameter estimate of 19 kilometres (12 mi).[2]
